ScrambleText Information

What is ScrambleText?
ScrambleText gives information owners an easy-to-use privacy control for sharing confidential information.

ScrambleText Process

What ScrambleText Used For?
ScrambleText is designed to enhance privacy for immediate or short-term communication (e.g., up to 10 days) of small, transactional, or sensitive information. It does not function as an archive or repository, as it does not store unscramble PINs or input text. Therefore, ScrambleText does not support long-term text sharing, and there should be no expectation of indefinite availability.

How does ScrambleText work?
ScrambleText scrambles/encrypts entered (or pasted) plain text based on an 8 digit unscramble PIN number the user enters. The scrambled text can only be unscrambled, by entering both the scrambled text and the communicated unscramble PIN.

When to Use ScrambleText?
When sharing sensitive or Personally Identifiable Information (PII), consider using ScrambleText to secure plain text sent via email, chat apps etc. For communication over services that already encrypt data, ScrambleText provides an additional layer of security to ensure those service providers cannot decrypt your communications.

Entered Data Is Not Stored.
Data entered into ScrambleText, whether scrambled or unscrambled, is not copied or stored. Only your unique (per use) unscramble 8-digit PIN can unlock the scrambled text.

Note: PINs or text cannot be recovered from ScrambleText as data is not stored.

ScrambleText Use
In a separate communication (e.g., in person, voice call, text), communicate the unscramble PIN to the Receiver(s), separate from the scrambled text. Secure your unscramble PIN, as the unscramble PIN plus the scrambled text enables the unlocking of the communication.
Do not store your unscramble PIN with your scrambled text.

Notes:
It is unlikely for a PIN to be guessed, as there are 100,000,000 potential combinations to your 8-digit PIN.

ScrambleText accepts up to a maximum of 256 characters, ScrambleText Pro 512 characters. The restriction of the number of characters is to ensure performance of the encryption.
